Elizabeth B. Vinson


Born in Wilmington, North Carolina on May 8, 1958, Ms. Vinson has been a resident of the Williamsburg area since 1984. She was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1997 and to the United States Bankruptcy Court in 1998. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in 1994, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Christopher Newport University. She received her law degree from the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1997. Ms. Vinson concentrates her practice in the area of civil issues, including, community association law, bankruptcy, and adoption. Ms. Vinson assists our clients in association matters by interpreting and enforcing association documents; communicating with property managers; and collecting unpaid assessments. In the increasingly technical field of bankruptcy law, Ms. Vinson represents individuals and businesses in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. She has worked with commercial and residential real estate for over twenty years and continues to assist clients in property transactions. Ms. Vinson is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Williamsburg Bar Association, the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association and the Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar. Active in the community, Ms. Vinson is an Elder with the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and the Vice-President and President-Elect for the Board of Directors of Avalon: A Center for Women and Children. Ms. Vinson worked as a real estate paralegal for four years prior to attending Christopher Newport University She has served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Legal Research, in the ABA approved Legal Studies Program at Christopher Newport University.
